"And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong." 2 Cor 12:7-10
No matter what your situation is, when you have a child with Autism, life gets hard. But we always have Him to lean on. And when we lean on Him, bring our petitions before Him, we are no longer alone in the battle.
And I personally wouldn't want any other fighting the battle with me.
So when your child has thrown a large cup of milk across the kitchen, when he is digging in the cat box, when he thinks choking his older brother is funny, when he steps on your newborn son, when "wait" guarantees a tantrum with hitting, when he won't go into the kitchen because there had been a fan in there there other day, when he's screaming, when every interior room of your house is locked, when you can't seem to get breakfast or lunch for a week (ok, ok, this might be a reflection into my little world as of late) get on your knees and thank God that He is helping you keep it all together!
